“Andy” holds several degrees from Washburn University in Topeka, KS. He knew when he began his undergraduate pursuits that he wanted to focus on the criminal justice system. and to making changes in the system. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice in 2003. He completed his Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice in 2004.
Andy knew that his passion wasn’t in the enforcement of criminal justice but in the courtroom administration of the law. He completed his law degree in 2007 from Washburn University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Kansas and in Federal District Court.
Andy began his legal career in Wichita, KS when he joined the Sedgwick County Public Defender’s Office. He represented clients charged with felony offenses that ranged from relatively minor offenses to offenses that required a sentence of life imprisonment.
He then transitioned over to the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s office in Sedgwick County where he was a prosecutor until 2011. He gained the experience of evaluating a case from a presentation perspective instead of only a defense perspective. He handled cases that ranged from minor traffic offenses up to first degree murder. That experience helped to round out his trial experience.
Andy has been in the Manhattan legal community since late 2011. He represents clients ranging in age from juveniles to adults, with offenses ranging from minor traffic offenses to off-grid felonies that carry life sentences.
Andy has dedicated his career to assisting people who are engaged in the criminal justice court system thru his extensive trial experience. No case is too minor or too severe.
